Rules Tree

This section documents the Rules Tree screen

This screen allows you to easily view and manage Organization Rules defined in your repository.

To switch to this view, select the Rules Tree option from the drop-down list located at the top-right portion of the Repository screen:

Rules Tree screen

This screen displays a tree view of the folders that are contained within your repository - or more precisely, the folders that were contained within your repository during the most recent Synchronize operation.

If there are any rules currently defined in your repository, this will be indicated by markers that are put on the right side of the individual folders.

A “dot” marker indicates that the folder contains other folders that have rules defined in them. You can “follow the dots” to find the folder(s) where rules are defined.

A “number” marker indicates that the folder itself contains rules. The number indicates how many rules are defined for that specific folder.

Additionally, if a folder has rules defined in them, the Rules Tree will show a breakdown of the types of rules that are defined.

To create or modify rules for a folder, simply highlight the folder in the tree view and click the “Edit Folder Rules” button. This will open the Rules Editor to allow you to view and define rules for that folder.
